2013

By the end of the show there was a spotlight on the artist that tied for most nominations at 5 each: Kanye West, Jay-Z, Frank Ocean, Mumford & Sons, Fun. and Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys.

As a huge fan of Dance/House music I was glad to see it incorporated into the categories once again. While some of these artists are not particularly my favorite personal preference in the House scene, it’s still nice to see the genre recognized.

Who do you think will be the big winners this year?

Do you think any artist were overlooked?

While the Grammys is noted as the biggest night in music – I like to think of it as the Superbowl of Fashion and am most excited to see what everyone is wearing.

The 2013 Grammy Awards will air live on February 10th at 8pm EST on CBS.

Happy Birthday Jay-Z

(can you believe he’s 43???)

Welcome to the last month before the “New Year” … let’s make it count!

Many people in the NJ/NY area woke up on October 30th not only to massive flooding, down trees and no power but some woke up to everything they have worked for their whole lives – GONE.

I for one am a NJ Girl, born & raised. I don’t think a lot of us really appreciated sites such as the boardwalk that we spent so many summers on until we had to view it like this…

The pictures of people’s homes and businesses gone is devastating. The news stories about the children as well as the men & women who lost their life during this super storm is something no one will ever forget. Normalcy is something that will not return for a while but the amount of support from people and volunteer groups is incredible. Those volunteers are truly the sunshine after such a dark  time.

While listening to Elvis Duran I heard them discussing this concert
