Lately I have been leaning towards curling my hair when I have to head out to an event or even for date night. I’ve been having a lot of my followers on instagram ask me about the products I’m using so I wanted to share with you how I achieve my curls.

I recently started using the Quantum Switch from Theorie.

Quantum, by Theorie, makes exquisite curls easy to achieve—and hold onto. With the world’s first ultra powerful MCH heaters in interchangeable curler barrels, the Quantum Switch reaches desired temperatures in seconds, alternates effortlessly between each barrel size and maintains heat with absolutely even heat conductors. The Quantum protects every strand from damage, curls are smoother and hold onto healthy shine. Hair glides effortlessly across silky-smooth barrels, without tugs, snags or catches. Impeccable curls emerge quickly, effortlessly and in perfect shape.

The barrel sizes included are:

19/25 MM
25/32 MM
25 MM
32 MM

I use different barrels depending on the size curl I want. The thinner barrels create a tighter curl while the larger will give you bigger and looser curls. I usually go for a more natural curl so I love the 25 MM barrel the most. Here are some looks I’ve created:

Another product I always use when curling my hair is the Heat Shield Thermal Spray from Theorie.

SIGNATURE_STYLING_HEATSHIELD1_reflection_021015

This lightweight styling spray safeguards hair from the effects of heat-styling tools as it smoothes unruly ends, nourishes and strengthens. Apply to offset breakage, preserve moisture and prevent color fading and to leaving behind a long-lasting style with luster.

What’s your go to curling product?

For this weeks manicure I was going to keep it simple & just go with red.

BUT then I decided I wanted to play around with some tape and just cut strips to see what I could come up with.

Main Polish: Sephora by O.P.I in And a Cherry on Top

Accent Polish: Revlon ‘Limited Edition’ Chalkboard Nail Art

A 2nd nail color and tape can turn a basic manicure into a chic one in seconds.

I’m really happy with this weeks manicure. I have been going crazy trying to find my nail tape and I finally was able to find it so I played around with different designs this week.

Main Polish: Essie Resort Collection ’14 in Under the Twilight

Accent Polish: Essie Resort Collection ’14 in Cocktails & Coconuts

Accent Glitter Polish: Maybelline Color Show in Gilded Rose

What do you think?

As you can see, I’m still on my Essie – Resort Collection kick!

For this weeks manicure I went with “Find Me An Oasis”

They consider this a refreshing ice blue, but I see it as Cinderella Blue and I loveee it!

I wanted to add an accent nail to make the blue stand out a little more so I added some nail art.

Main Polish: L’Oreal Colour Riche Nail Polish in Violet Vixen

I’ve featured this color in a manicure post in the past and I absolutely love the richness of the color as well as the stay power it has.
