ok ok – I’m a few days late.

August is absolutely the Sunday of Summer.

I feel like the last few months have flown by. I’m getting married at the end of this month (8/31) and I can now feel the stress coming on as it approaches. Between getting all the last minute things taken care of for the wedding and taking a new position at my job – my blog has been put on the back burner. I still try to update my IG (pearls_and_paris) and my Twitter (pearlsNparis_xo) as often as possible so make sure to follow me on those social networks 🙂

I plan to get a little more organized this weekend so expect some fun new post in the weeks leading up to my wedding including some D.I.Y’s for any Brides to Be.

Happy August!!! xoxo

Two weeks ago I had the pleasure of being invited to preview the Old Navy Fall 2014 Collection. Fashion is always 2 steps ahead when it comes to the seasons so even though the Summer is just beginning – I was excited to get a sneak peek at the upcoming trends for this Fall.

I attended the event with my friend Lissette from Raven Fashion & we loved all the looks.

[ I am obsessed with this studded bottom tote! I plan to snatch it up along with that Cobalt Blue coat ]

All of the pieces featured in the showroom were under $70 & the quality of the fabric was top-notch. I have already started a list of what I need to pick up when the collection hits the stores.

Overall the event was super cute! Food, Fashion & Fun – what more could you ask for? Old Navy included two DIY stations and one of them was hosted by P.S. – I Made This…! It was awesome to personalize our own Old Navy denim jacket.

A BIG Thank You to my friends over at Old Navy for the invite. I’m really excited for this collection!

Fashionistas – keep an eye out as this collection will arrive in August/September.

FALL FOR THIS! Mandee Fall Lookbook 2013

Guess what ladies? Mandee has launched their new Fall Collection!

As usual, they have delivered a collection that stands out and is super versatile. Prints are big this season as well as layering and faux leather. I love how the lookbook features a midi dress with combat boots as well as graphic leggings with wedge sneakers. These two looks show how you can mix up your attire from a day to night look with just a simple change of a shoe. Here are a few looks:

Faux Leather Paneling, as seen in this jacket as well as the skirt below, is huge this season! Expect to see it on jackets, dresses and jeans.

Riding boots will always be my favorite Fall trend. I was able to visit Mandee before my vacation and they have an array of styles avaliable to suit everyones taste so make sure to check those out while shopping. If you like to wait until later in the season to pull out those boots, they also have some great colored flats in stock. I picked up a nude and mint pair and I’m in love with the style and fit of them.

I picked up the Aztec Flyaway cardigan (seen above) for vacation and the shape and fit is amazing. (sorry! no pictures to share since it was so chilly I wore a jacket over it) I also was able to pick up one of their midi dresses. The lookbook featured it in a beautiful blue and black aztec print but I decided on the tan and black midi.

I’ll definitely be back there in the next few weeks to pick up a couple more Fall Must Haves!

What was your favorite look in the Mandee lookbook? What is your favorite Fall trend?

Goldfaden MD Doxtor’s Scrub Ruby Crystal Microderm Exfoliator – Retail $75

Stila Luxe Eye Shadow Palette – Retail $45

Ok – well, I have mixed feelings about this box. I paid a little over $100 for it and the retail value varies between $275-$330 since I found a few things on sale.

The issue I have is I purchased this box because of the title:

PopSugar Special Edition Must Have Fall STYLE Box

I feel like it was a little misleading. I purchased this box in hopes that I would get a cool scarf, some accessories or a clutch (hence the name Fall Style) – not bubble bath and cookies. Regardless I absolutely love PopSugar and they always have some great finds. Not all boxes that come out will fit everyone’s taste. I adore My Rachel Zoe Gold Knot Ring and I am crazy in loveee with the Stila Luxe Eye Shadow Palette. The colors are long-lasting and bold. The microderm exfoliators was a great addition to the box and I ended up gifting this product to my mother because she is really into exfoliators. Also, while I love everything Cynthia Vincent – I  wouldn’t spend $85 for her Classic Shopper but I’m glad it was put in the box and it will definitely get some use 🙂

Did you get this special edition box? If so, what were your feelings on it?
