For my final Gift Guide of the Holiday season, let’s talk Home & Garden!

Becoming a home owner was one of my proudest moments & since then I have become a sucker for gifts that compliment the home like wine racks, wall decor & blankets. I don’t think you can go wrong with gifting the perfect item that matches the home owners personality.

Here are some of my favorite Home & Garden gifts:

Faux Fur Throws – $29.99-$63.96

Getting in touch with your adventurous side doesn’t mean you have to rough it. Spoil yourself with a Faux Fur Throw, chosen from our menagerie of bold patterns and shades that rival the real thing in softness, warmth and luxury. Place one at the corner of your bed or drape it over the back of the sofa for a touch of elegance. Then it will be close by for cuddling up with indulgent comfort on cool evenings.

Dawn Redwood Bonsai Forest Kit – $50

Bring nature and tranquility to your life with this bonsai garden kit. These miniature trees were thought to be extinct until 1946 until when one was discovered growing in a rice field in central China. Appropriately named the “discovery tree,” the bonsai symbolizes the bountiful surprises found in nature. You can cultivate your own grove of miniature trees with this easy-to-use indoor kit. While the seeds will sprout within a few weeks, just as full-sized trees take decades to reach their full height, it takes time and patience for your sprouts to mature into a fully grown forest.

The 15th Annual Latin Grammys took place on November 20th and L’Oréal Paris returned for their 3rd year as their official cosmetic sponsor for the night. Did you guys see Genesis Rodriguez & Chiquinquira Delgado on the red carpet? They looked absolutely beautiful and thanks to L’Oréal Paris, you can re-create those looks yourself!

Genesis wanted a vampy look but with a modern twist and that is exactly what  L’Oréal Paris Pro-Team Artist Rene Lam created. Rene mixed bronze and plum shades to create a subtle smokey eye. For the lips, Rene went burgundy since it complimented Genesis’s dark red dress.

For her hair, L’Oréal Paris Celebrity Hair Stylist Marcos Carrasquillo was inspired by Rihanna’s look at the American Music Awards. He gave her Hollywood Waves but added large bobby pins to not only hold the hair to the side, but accessorize it and made it stand out.

Chiqui wanted a natural look to compliment her beautiful yellow gown and a very classic Hollywood glam hair style. Franz Munoz nailed it by adding brown and nude shades to her eyes and finishing her complete look with romantic loose waves.

Influenster isn’t all about just getting free products, I also use this website to check our reviews of products I’m interested in or iffy about purchasing. The community leaves REAL & HONEST reviews to help you discover products in the marketplace. DEMI LOVATO COVERS GLAM BELLEZA LATINA’S 2014 HOLIDAY ISSUE

This was the year that Demi Lovato shifted her career into high gear. Gone was the chatter about the setbacks that surrounded her in 2010, when she checked into a treatment center for eating disorders. Instead the actress and singer, who is part Mexican, started to generate a new type of headline, one focused on her power to inspire a whole generation of young girls with both her advocacy and her music. Her fourth album, Demi, debuted on the top-10 list last year and led to her first solo world tour. If that wasn’t enough to keep her busy, she wrote a New York Times best-selling book, Staying Strong: 365 Days a Year; supports causes like gay rights and mental health reform; signed a spokesmodel contract with the makeup line NYC New York Color; and launched a hair-extension line and a skin care collection called Devonne by Demi. She opens up about self-confidence, her Latina identity, and her advocacy for mental health care in Glam Belleza Latina’s holiday issue on national newsstands now.

Lovato on inner beauty versus outer beauty…

“[You] can be the most beautiful woman in the world and see yourself as hideous. You must love yourself. To look in the mirror and tell yourself that you’re a rock star, you know?”

Lovato on her beauty routine…

“Everyone has their thing, and for me it’s my nails. It sounds silly, but if I go weeks without getting my nails done, I must find an hour to get a manicure. It just makes me feel better. So does taking care of my skin. As a kid I’d play with homemade recipes, like putting pineapple on my face to exfoliate my skin and doing facial steams with lavender or peppermint oils. I just loved doing stuff like that. It’s what motivated me to launch my skin care line.”

Lovato on how her Latin background impacted her body image…

“Growing up in America, I never really appreciated my culture. I knew what being Hispanic was, but I thought that since I didn’t look Hispanic, I was white…. I tried to conform to what everyone thinks is beautiful. But my genetics gave me a curvy figure, and I’ve come to understand that, in the Latina culture, that is beautiful.”

Lovato on how social media has affected her…

“I allowed social media to define what I thought of my body. And now I realize that no matter how thin you are, someone will call you fat. No matter how beautiful you are, someone will call you ugly. But you can’t spend your time worrying about that. You’re just not going to please the world.”

Lovato on advocating for mental health reform…

“It gets me outside of my head and gives me a sense of joy. I’m also very passionate about charity because it helps people who don’t have as loud of a voice as I do. Performing is my passion. But it’s not going to change the world. That’s why I give back.”
