We’re well into the swing of summer, and the fashion trends just keep on coming. If your wardrobe is looking a little slim this season, you still have time to stock up.

Take a look at a few of these pieces that can add some flare to your fashion before the temperature dips.

Sneakers
Embrace change this summer and step outside of your sandals rut. If you look at what’s trending on Lyst, you’ll see see many of the pictured models wearing sneakers instead of classic strappy sandals. It might surprise you, but there’s no denying that sneakers just look so good.

1
White sneakers look almost natural when they’re whimsically paired with a fun and feminine flowing dress or skirt, making them an easy trend to master. Just make sure they’re relatively slim, instead of the bulkier pairs that you wear to the gym.

Lingerie
Lingerie used to be reserved for the bedroom, but today it’s at the forefront in the fashion world as a must-have for stylish outerwear. And when the heat rises outside, less is definitely more when it comes to comfortable clothes. Needless to say, today’s lingerie styles are perfect for keeping you cool in the sweltering heat of the season.

2
Bralettes in particular have blurred the lines between bras and tank tops over the last few years. A gallery from The Blonde Salad shows different ways fashion-forward ladies are styling the trend. Kendall Jenner, for instance, took her bralette in a new direction and embraced a ’90s style by wearing it over a cropped white T-shirt. It’s an easy way to ease yourself into the trend if so much skin has you feeling intimidated.

Round Mirrored Sunglasses
In an article for Hollywood Reporter, fashion writer Sam Reed proclaimed that round sunglasses “are going to rule the summer.” The resurrection of the 1970s trend has come back in full force, with celebrities like Selena Gomez, Blake Lively, and Gigi Hadid all recently spotted sporting the look.

If you’re going to try it out for yourself, embrace the ’70s with additional period details like suede, fringe, and flares. You can also just as easily pull off the trend by sticking to classic pieces like denim, white tops, and the always-dependable little black dress.

Fall will be here before you know it, so definitely make sure that you take advantage of these summer trends while you still can.

Getting to the gym a few times a week is a little more difficult these days since becoming a mother. You have so many other things to worry about and take care of that fitness can take a backseat. I’ve been trying to find a little extra motivation so what I’ve been doing is keeping my gym bag already packed and close to my front door as a reminder to just grab that bag and go! I feel like I carry so much stuff in mine but it’s all items that are super useful and products I use frequently.

So… here is what’s in MY gym bag:

1

 1. Towel – Chances are after a good workout, you will be sweating! Because of that, I make sure to always carry a towel with me.

2. Face Makeup Wipes – I’m usually on the go prior to making it to the gym so by keep these wipes with me, it guarantees I can wipe my face clean before my workout.

3. Deodorant – ….for those times when you just absolutely need some lol

4. Sandals – I love taking my sneakers off after a hard workout and throwing these on to give my feet some relief.

5. Ipod + Earbuds – I love getting in the zone while working out and that includes good music, so I make sure to have the essentials with me.

6. Always Sheer Dailies and Wipes – The Always Sheer Dailies is a thin flexible panty liner that is so comfortable that you can wear it all day, including during your workouts, which is why I always make sure to carry a few in my gym bag. Always wipes keep me feeling fresh ALL day and since they come conveniently individually wrapped, they are perfect for on the go. Adding Always Sheer Dailies and Wipes to my daily routine helps me stay shower fresh – before, after and during my workouts.

So… what’s in YOUR gym bag?

When I was younger I didn’t take skincare seriously at all. I can’t even tell you how many times I went out dancing with my girlfriends, got home and instantly just crawled into bed with a face full of makeup. Now that I have entered my 30’s, I’m definitely more aware of what my skin needs to stay looking and feeling fresh and healthy.

I’ve been a Neutrogena gal for as long as I can remember and they are a big part of my ‘Getting #UnReady‘ nighttime routine.

I always start my night routine by throwing my hair in a messy top knot and putting on a hair band.

Step 1: I use the Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes to remove surface impurities that ordinary cleansers may not throughly remove such as oil and makeup. These wipes are LIFE! I make sure I have a package in my nightstand drawer as well as in my bathroom. They are quick and super easy to use, don’t require water or any rinsing after use and even remove my waterproof mascara. Best of all, they remove 99.3% of dirt and oil that can cause breakouts and clog pores.

Step 2: I use the Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub to clean deep into my pores. Oil and dirt trapped in pores can make your skin look dull and also leads to breakouts but this scrub removes the micro toxins so that your skin can glow from within. It’s also oil-free which is really important for us oily skinned girls.

This double cleansing method using my Neutrogena products is the best way for me to get #unready every night because it gives my skin the most complete clean and that’s a great feeling!

How do you get #UnReady?

As a first time mom, it took me some time to find a balance between mom life and me time. This was especially true when it came time to feeding my son. Prior to his birth I already knew I wanted to breastfeed and hoped to do so for at least the first 3 months. Breastfeeding was this totally new concept for me and I was a little overwhelmed when I started to think about running errands between nursing him.

After a few weeks of us being settled at home, I decided I wanted to exclusively pump. I knew this would be more time consuming but it was important to me that I continue providing breast milk for my son. I was little nervous about bottle feeding as I have heard many babies have nipple confusion and will refuse to bottle feed or even start refusing the breast. This is when I was introduced to Munchkin’s LATCH line. Designed to ease the transition from breast to bottle—and back again, the LATCH bottle features a patented nipple that enables the baby’s palate to stretch back and forth, and attain a proper latch. When breastfeeding, baby controls the flow of milk by applying pressure to the base of mom’s nipple. The LATCH bottle mimics mom by releasing more breast milk as baby pushes against the nipple’s base.

In addition to the bottle, the LATCH line also includes nursing pads (5X thinner and 3X more absorbent than the average nursing pad), a LATCH bottle brush, sterilizer bags (Which I love! Just toss one in your bag for easy on-the-go bottle cleanings) and a pump brush (the only brush on the market designed for a breast pump).

The LATCH line really gives me freedom to not only get things done around my home but also to take some time out for myself, which is so important when you are a parent. I love that I have peace of mind that my husband and family can also help during my son’s feedings. Motherhood is stressful and sometimes you just a need time out to go outside and read a book or relax. I do yoga to destress as well and the LATCH miracle nursing pads keep me dry during class but are super discreet since they are so thin.

Barcelona is where my love affair with Europe began.

I remember my excitement from the time I planned and booked everything to stepping foot off the plane. There’s something so liberating about your first international trip. You tend to want to learn more about everything you’re seeing and know the history of it all. Till this day, I carry that desire to learn and see it all during my travels.

I actually took a cruise while in Barcelona (more about that in a later post) so I stood at 2 separate hotels, one prior to my cruise and then one when I returned and we also mixed up price points by doing a budget and then a luxury hotel. Even though they were opposite, we had incredible experiences at both and I highly recommend them.

Check them out — Hotel Curious // Hotel 1898

There is no shortage of great restaurants in this vibrant city but if I had to chose one to recommend, I would say book (far in advance) a reservation at Tickets Bar. I can’t really put into words the experience you get from this place. The food is literally a work of art. I promise you that your dining experience here will be the best visual and delicious 2 hours ever! Click HERE to see my review on TripAdvisor.

While in Barcelona you will want to see it all. I highly recommend focusing on Guadi. The Sagrada Familia is an absolute MUST! Do not leave Barcelona without going inside of this masterpiece. Park Guell is another major Guadi work that is not to be missed. Explore Las Ramblas, La Boqueria, the Magic Fountain, eat tapas until you can’t walk, drink a ton of wine and just get lost (while keeping alert because those pickpocketers are no joke in Barcelona) – sometimes you discover the most amazing things by just walking around town and exploring.

Here’s a look at my trip through my photos:
