As someone who adores accessories, I love coming across shops & online boutiques that I’m not familiar. I was recently introduced to MODERN MIX BOUTIQUE & it was basically love at first sight. Modern Mix Boutique was started in 2012 by a Canadian Lifestyle Blogger named Vanessa. One look at the products she offers on her website and you can tell she has been staying on top of the latest trends. I was able to speak to Vanessa via e-mail and one of the questions I asked was about the pieces she chose and if she planned to bring other types of accessories to the Boutique.

“I chose to begin with jewellery and accessories on Modern Mix Boutique because it was so simple to put together a beautiful collection of products. For now, I’m focusing on gold-toned products because I love the way it matches with bright colours and jewel tones.  To keep our products exclusive, we only bring in a limited selection of pieces.  We carry earrings and bracelets so my customers don’t have to worry about fit and sizing which is often a concern for shopping online – earrings and bracelets are pretty much one size fits all! In the future I may bring in necklaces, rings and other accessories.”

Did you watch the Oscars last night?

I love watching the  Red Carpet, because I love seeing the Fashion! The actual show just seems so long and boring but I did catch most of it.

While there was some amazing gowns on the Red Carpet – where was the color?? It seems like most people stuck to neutrals.

Metallic was also very big!

I loved that Kerry Washington opted for a coral dress by Miu Miu! She was one of the few that took a chance with color.
