Sephora is welcoming a new beauty line today…not just any line, but one by Marc Jacobs.
Marc Jacobs Beauty is a 120 piece, 16 product collection that also includes make-up brushes. I have yet to test out any of the products but I love the boldness of the colors for this collection and I expect them to be big sellers. I also love the detail of the packaging!

Marc Jacobs Beauty will debut in Europe during 2014.
I understand the frustration of trying to get those waterproof mascaras off your lashes at the end of a long day so I wanted to share with you what I use. I have tried numerous brands, both drug store as well as a little more high-end such as Lancôme and MAC and there is only one that I am super in LOVE with.
Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover from the Sephora Collection
The photo on the left is how the remover looks on a daily basis when just left on a counter. You can see the separation of the oil/water ingredients. A lot of people would argue it is not good to use oil based products on your face but for this particular product – I would have to disagree. I have very sensitive skin as well as oily and have never had an issue with it. In fact; oil based removers are one of the only and most common things used to remove waterproof makeup products. The photo on the right shows what it looks like after being shaken right before use.
A little goes a long way with this bottle. I just squirt a few drops on a cotton pad and gently wipe my eyelashes as well as my eyebrows. Waterproof mascaras are my everyday go to so it’s nice not to have to scrub and damage my eyelashes to remove it anymore. The liquid is very delicate and does not irritate the eyes. It also contains a complex rich in flavonoids and olive extracts that is said to strengthen lashes and Procapil which promotes lash growth.
With a retail of: $6 for a 1.69 oz bottle (perfect for traveling) and $9.50 for a 4.2 oz bottle, this product is a lot more affordable than some other brands and works incredible! If you would like more information on this product click HERE to view all the Q’s & A’s.

You ever have one of those days where work is extremely draining that all you want is to go home and sleep and there’s nothing that could remove the dull look from your face? That was me yesterday UNTIL I opened this amazing package. A few weeks ago I entered a contest that Lisa Estrella Yang of Your Makeup Social was holding and I WON!!! 🙂 It was for this amazing hot pink lipstick which is the perfect summer color. When I opened the package and saw that not only was the item I won there but that she included the sweetest note – I instantly had the biggest smile! Sometimes all it takes it 1 compliment to make someone’s day, week or even month. Thank you Lisa for the great prize but even more so for your thoughtfulness when putting the package together! xo
Here it is:
I love the packaging of this Covergirl collection. Most lip products come with a clear cap so you can see the top of the lipstick but this one has a solid case and the bottom features the color that is inside the tube.
COVERGIRL LipPerfection Lipcolor in Spellbound
( ehh…excuse my small little thumbnail, it broke this week )
Now that I’ve had the chance to try this collection out, I am super excited to purchase other colors. This has got to be one of the best drugstore brand lipstick collections I’ve come across in a long time. It is super creamy and rich and just glides on giving the maximum amount of color with just one stroke to the lips. While on my lips, this formula never seemed to dry them out and they stayed moist until I took it off. A little goes a long way with this collection. Even though the packaging doesn’t market it as a “stay; long-lasting” type of lipstick, it totally is!! I enjoyed dinner and drank from a cup and the lipstick did not smudge or bleed. There’s no need to constantly re-apply and that is always a plus. I actually found it slightly difficult to fully take off and even after wiping down with napkins I could still see a hint of pink. Maybe some people will find that as a negative but I did not as it does not stain my lips that bold color after I wiped it down. Here’s a few photo’s showing what the color looks like on me 🙂
How do you feel about this bright color? Checkout the COVERGIRL website to see all the colors they carry for this collection and also make sure to follow Your Makeup Social 🙂
Happy Friday!! xo
Sephora has always been my GO TO store when it comes to makeup due to the variety of products and brands they carry. They have an awesome Beauty Insider program as well! Basically, you get 1 point for every dollar you spend in the store which then can be redeemed for special reward gifts. You have your option of 100 point and 500 point gifts and they occasionally throw in a special 250 point gift. I don’t use my points often as I rather save them up until they offer something I love…. and they finally have!
The Summer Lovin’ Set
The Summer Lovin’ set is a 500 point reward and includes the following:
– Ultra Shine Lip Gloss #11 Shiny Pin-up Pink (0.1 oz)
– Outrageous Volume Mascara – Ultra Black (0.06 oz)
– Tinted Self-Tanning Body Mist (1.5 oz)
– Instant Moisturizer (0.5 oz)
All these products are the Sephora brand and since this kit included some of my favorite items – I had to pick it up! The lip gloss is very long-lasting and actually very pigmented and the instant moisturizer is one of my favorites to date. A little goes a long way and I think that’s important in a face moisturizer. The mascara in this kit is not one of my favorites, mainly because I am not a big fan of that type of brush but I will be giving it a few tries before disregarding. The self-tanning body mist has excellent reviews on the Sephora website and when my tan starts to fade, I will definitely be testing it out.
Do you shop at Sephora and belong to the Beauty Insider program? What have been some of your favorite rewards?
