In my #VivaVoxBox I scored 2 gorgeous nail shades from Pure Ice Cosmetics & I put them to the test for this weeks manicure.

Main Polish: Pure Ice  Nail Polish in Afterhours

Accent Polish: Pure Ice Nail Polish in It’s Complicated

I started off with my base coat & followed it up with 2 coats of Afterhours. I then applied 2 coats of It’s Complicated towards the base of my nail.

What do you think about the colors?

This was my first time using the Pure Ice polishes and OMG – I’m in love! The brush was perfect and the formula of the polishes was excellent. Afterhours went on smooth and the color packs a big punch! One coat would have sufficed but I always do 2 coats so it was just routine. I’m really looking forward to trying out other shades in the collection.

For this weeks manicure I decided to go with a sheer main polish and add a black matte accent on each nail.

Main Polish: OPI – Don’t Burst My Bubble

Accent Polish: Revlon ‘Limited Edition’ Chalkboard Nail Art

So I’m finally getting around to trying some of the new nail polishes I’ve received.

For this weeks manicure I am using Wet n Wild MegaLast in I Need a Refresh-Mint. At first glance I was a little iffy about the shade of blue’ish mint green in the bottle but I decided to give it a shot and OMG what a color!!!! The formula is top-notch & I can always appreciate polishes that don’t chip easily. The color is very pigmented and I really only needed 1 coat to cover the whole nail but added the 2 for that extra POP. Besides loving the actually shade of this polish, I really love the shape of the brush which Wet n Wild calls their Manicure pro brush. These retail for under $2. That price is a steal for the quality.

For this weeks manicure I was going to keep it simple & just go with red.

BUT then I decided I wanted to play around with some tape and just cut strips to see what I could come up with.

Main Polish: Sephora by O.P.I in And a Cherry on Top

Accent Polish: Revlon ‘Limited Edition’ Chalkboard Nail Art

A 2nd nail color and tape can turn a basic manicure into a chic one in seconds.

I’m really happy with this weeks manicure. I have been going crazy trying to find my nail tape and I finally was able to find it so I played around with different designs this week.

Main Polish: Essie Resort Collection ’14 in Under the Twilight

Accent Polish: Essie Resort Collection ’14 in Cocktails & Coconuts

Accent Glitter Polish: Maybelline Color Show in Gilded Rose
