I’m a little late with this review but better late than never 🙂

I had been saying I needed to go see Fuerza Bruta for over a year – there was talk that the final show would be at the end of December and I couldn’t let it leave NYC without catching it. My  boyfriend surprised me with tickets for the December 1st showing and I was ecstatic. The show ended up being more than I could of ever imagined and the ART behind it is incredible. For 50 minutes you are moving around (literally… when the scenes move, you move lol) and dancing and you feel like you are a part of the show. The actors have so much interaction with the crowd from dancing with you to  hitting people over the head with glitter boxes to swimming above your head. The DJ keeps the crowd moving the whole time and by the very end you will feel like you are at a large rave where everyone is just having a blast! They even have a huge rainfall where people can dance under until the music stops. – very fast pace and unique!

Fuerza Bruta has now been extended until May. If your in the area, go check it out! Also remember to check online via google and sites such as Livingsocial for discounted tickets!

Here are some pictures from the show:

While most of us could have done without this outfit…

I applaud ALL the artist and host that took time out to help NJ/NY in this time of dispar. The performances were incredible and the love and support was more than anyone could have imagined.

The lineup included: Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Bon Jovi, Roger Waters, The Rolling Stones, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, The Who, Billy Joel, Eddie Vedder, Chris Martin, Michael Stipe, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear and there was endless host such as Jimmy Fallon, Chris Rock, Kristen Stewart and Stephen Colbert just to name a few.

“The ocean I used to dream about is now their worst nightmare.” -Billy Crystal

“Tonight, this is a prayer for all my struggling brothers and sisters in New York and New Jersey.” -Bruce Springsteen before performing My City of Ruins

“When are you going to learn you can throw anything at us – terrorists, hurricanes. You can take away our giant sodas. It doesn’t matter. We’re coming back stronger every time.” -Jon Stewart

“Hallelujah, Sandy screw ya, We’ll get through ya, Cause we’re Neeeew Yorkers.” -Adam Sandler

The ticket sales alone  have already raised $35 million!

Many people in the NJ/NY area woke up on October 30th not only to massive flooding, down trees and no power but some woke up to everything they have worked for their whole lives – GONE.

I for one am a NJ Girl, born & raised. I don’t think a lot of us really appreciated sites such as the boardwalk that we spent so many summers on until we had to view it like this…

The pictures of people’s homes and businesses gone is devastating. The news stories about the children as well as the men & women who lost their life during this super storm is something no one will ever forget. Normalcy is something that will not return for a while but the amount of support from people and volunteer groups is incredible. Those volunteers are truly the sunshine after such a dark  time.

While listening to Elvis Duran I heard them discussing this concert
