To celebrate the release of Uplifting Miracle Worker, Philosophy and Ms. Pompeo will promote a new reality—that middle age can be the coolest time of your life—inviting women to remove the anti in anti-aging and replace it with cool. Women everywhere are invited to join the conversation and declare themselves or women they admire #CoolAgers through original interactive content and social media activity.

Did you hear? The mid-life crisis is over! A recently released 25-year longitudinal study conducted by the University of Alberta has demonstrated that the phenomenon known as the “mid-life crisis” is unfounded and therefore untrue. Their study shows that happiness actually improves consistently over time. To celebrate this sentiment, Philosophy will launch original video content featuring Ms. Pompeo in comedic, stereotypical roles that have historically defined middle age. Giving the message greater depth will be the host site of the video—CoolAger.com—an online destination for women defined not by chronological age, but rather a will to live life by their own guidelines. The website will feature contributions by renowned authors to serve women young and old who want to envision their lives as uplifting, enlightened experiences instead of a series of planned events.

As with every launch, Uplifting Miracle Worker will inspire both beautiful skin and beautiful days, with contributions toward women’s mental health causes. In July 2014, Philosophy launched the Hope and Grace Initiative, the cornerstone of the brand’s philanthropic mission wherein 1% of Philosophy product sales across all retailers supports community-based organizations working to empower women through the promotion of mental health and wellbeing, and the prevention and treatment of related issues. Unique to Uplifting Miracle Worker, Philosophy will donate $10,000 to the Aviva Family and Children’s Services, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing community mental health services and support to at-risk children and families, and personally chosen by Ms. Pompeo. Sneakers
Embrace change this summer and step outside of your sandals rut. If you look at what’s trending on Lyst, you’ll see see many of the pictured models wearing sneakers instead of classic strappy sandals. It might surprise you, but there’s no denying that sneakers just look so good.

White sneakers look almost natural when they’re whimsically paired with a fun and feminine flowing dress or skirt, making them an easy trend to master. Just make sure they’re relatively slim, instead of the bulkier pairs that you wear to the gym.

Lingerie
Lingerie used to be reserved for the bedroom, but today it’s at the forefront in the fashion world as a must-have for stylish outerwear. And when the heat rises outside, less is definitely more when it comes to comfortable clothes. Needless to say, today’s lingerie styles are perfect for keeping you cool in the sweltering heat of the season.

Bralettes in particular have blurred the lines between bras and tank tops over the last few years. A gallery from The Blonde Salad shows different ways fashion-forward ladies are styling the trend. Kendall Jenner, for instance, took her bralette in a new direction and embraced a ’90s style by wearing it over a cropped white T-shirt. It’s an easy way to ease yourself into the trend if so much skin has you feeling intimidated.

In an article for Hollywood Reporter, fashion writer Sam Reed proclaimed that round sunglasses “are going to rule the summer.” The resurrection of the 1970s trend has come back in full force, with celebrities like Selena Gomez, Blake Lively, and Gigi Hadid all recently spotted sporting the look.

If you’re going to try it out for yourself, embrace the ’70s with additional period details like suede, fringe, and flares. You can also just as easily pull off the trend by sticking to classic pieces like denim, white tops, and the always-dependable little black dress.

Fall will be here before you know it, so definitely make sure that you take advantage of these summer trends while you still can.

Getting to the gym a few times a week is a little more difficult these days since becoming a mother. You have so many other things to worry about and take care of that fitness can take a backseat. I’ve been trying to find a little extra motivation so what I’ve been doing is keeping my gym bag already packed and close to my front door as a reminder to just grab that bag and go! I feel like I carry so much stuff in mine but it’s all items that are super useful and products I use frequently.

So… here is what’s in MY gym bag:

 1. Towel – Chances are after a good workout, you will be sweating! Because of that, I make sure to always carry a towel with me.

2. Face Makeup Wipes – I’m usually on the go prior to making it to the gym so by keep these wipes with me, it guarantees I can wipe my face clean before my workout.

3. Deodorant – ….for those times when you just absolutely need some lol

4. Sandals – I love taking my sneakers off after a hard workout and throwing these on to give my feet some relief.

5. Ipod + Earbuds – I love getting in the zone while working out and that includes good music, so I make sure to have the essentials with me.

6. While I still need to test out the other formulas, the creamy is ULTRA creamy and glides on like butter. I appreciate a lipstick that feels like it’s moisturizing my lips rather than drying them out. Urban Decay products always pack a punch and the pigmentation of these are A+!
