Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall!
The change of seasons can be a frightening time when it comes to your skin. Being from New Jersey, I’m used to everything from heat wave summers to 20 degree winters. Throughout all these changes it’s really hard to keep your skin looking fresh and healthy. For me personally, one of the toughest seasons for my skin is the beginning of fall. Usually my skin has dried up from the sun, my sun spots and freckles are darker and I notice more oil buildup which can lead to breakouts. I’m sure many of you experience the same thing so I wanted to share with you some of my tips for keeping your skin looking healthy and radiant during the new season.
Tip 1: CLEANSE your skin.
Cleaning your face at the end of a long day is just as important as doing a quick wash when you wake up. This keeps your skin balanced and helps with oil production. I have really oily skin so I’m loving the Oil-Free Acne Wash. It eliminates oil and unclogs pores while gently treating breakouts. Also, one of my go to products is the Make-up Remover Cleansing Towelettes. These cloths are super soft and literally remove everything… even my stubborn water-proof mascara.
Tip 2: MOISTURIZE your skin.
Moisturizing the skin is very important especially after cleansing. If you skip this step you run the chance of having dry flaky red skin. I recently started using the Rapid Wrinkle Repair Moisturizer before bed. It is very light weight and combines Retinol SA, Glucose Complex, and Hyaluronic Acid which renews the look of your skin. Within time this formula is said to help smooth wrinkles and diminish the look of age spots. Even though I am still new to this product I already see the difference in my skin. When I wake up my skin is brighter and smoother.
Tip 3: BEAUTIFY your skin using the proper products.
What you wear on your face is just as important as what you use to take it off at the end of the day. Before applying makeup, make sure you prime your skin. Neutrogena’s Healthy Skin Primer is silky and minimizes the look of imperfections. One of the ingredients it contains is Natural Soy which is proven to tone and correct the skin and it contains SPF 15. If you are the type of person who likes a more natural look and prefer to skip foundation, just throw this primer on for instant bright skin.
For foundation I am loving the lightweight Healthy Skin Liquid. It glides on and has amazing coverage. It’s available in 12 shades so you are sure to find a perfect match for your skin. A huge plus for me is that is contains SPF 20 – just because summer is over does not mean we should stop protecting our skin from the sun.
If you need an extra boost of radiance for those dull, tired eyes make sure to swipe on Healthy Skin Brightening Eye Perfector. It will de-puff the eye area while covering up those dark circles. It also contains SPF 25 for extra protection around that sensitive eye area.
Lastly, I always like to add a little glow to my daily look. The Healthy Skin Custom Glow Blush & Bronzer is the perfect little compact. I love the convenience of a 2 in 1 and even more so that it is available in 5 shade varieties. Rosy Glow 40 bronzer gives me the perfect sun-kissed glow and I finish it off with a swipe of blush for a slightly more stand out look. These colors are also buildable so they are a great accessory for the day to night look.
Tip 4: drink plenty of WATER.
Drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day can rid your body of toxins and keep the skin moisturized. It has been said that problems such as acne, eczema and dryness can actually be cleared with proper hydration.
Hope these tips help you achieve that perfect Radiant Fall Skin.
Remember ladies: Healthy skin is the best accessory of any season.
