The 56th annual Grammy Awards took place last night at the Staples Center in LA.

I know the Grammy’s are all about the music but the Red Carpet is the SUPERBOWL of Fashion for the entire Award Season so I made sure to have my eyes glued to the TV. The performances were awesome and the fashion was top notch. As usual though, there is always some disappointment. Here is a look at my favorite (& worst) highlights of the night.

Best Dressed:

Beyoncé in Michael Costello – this woman could wear a Hefty garbage bag and still look stunning!

Pink in Johanna Johnson

Chrissy Teigen in Johanna Johnson

Katy Perry in Valentino – Dont judge me for picking this as a best dressed. I do wish that the tulle was trimmed by her wrist as well as shoulders and that it wasn’t long sleeve, but overall I love how fun her outfit choice was.

Taylor Swift in Gucci

Miranda Lambert in Pamella Roland

Keltie Knight in Paolo Sebastian

Gloria Estefan in Memeka

Daft Punk

Daft Punk – I love them! & seriously… check out the footwear!

Worst Dressed:

Kaya Jones

Kaya Jones – Grammys meets Exxxotica Expo????

Nadeea Volianova

Nadeea Volianova = prom dress + runway shoes + bad roots. OVER accessorizing is never a good thing.

Zendaya Coleman’s outfit makes me sad… very sad.

Skylar Grey

Skylar Grey – I hatee this material but also the color blends in too much with her light complexion.

56th GRAMMY Awards - Arrivals

Ariana Grande – please stop wearing outfits like this. It does NOTHING for you.

I could honestly continue this list with other celebs like Paris Hilton, Rita Ora, Paula Patton, Kathy Griffin… Pharrells hat! etc. etc. but I had to stop. It baffles my mind that these woman (& men) have access to the best stylist and designers yet end up a HOT MESS on the red carpet at such a big event.

Now on to the performances!

“Drunk in Love”: Beyonce and Jay Z

“Just Give Me A Reason”: Pink and Nate Ruess

“Radioactive” : Imagine Dragons and Kendrick Lamar

“Same Love/Open Your Heart” medley: Queen Latifah, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and Madonna

“Queenie Eye”: Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr

The performances this year were awesome!!! Some other performances included Lorde, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry & Juicy J, Chicago & Rovin Thicke, John Legend, Billie Armstrong & Miranda Lambert, Bruno Mars, Hunter Hayes, Sara Bareilles & Carole King, Metallica & Lang Lang, Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson & Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Kacey Musgraves and Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue.

So – what are your thoughts about this years Grammys? Who was your Best Dressed & what was your favorite performance of the night?

The Grammys is basically the Superbowl of Fashion & Music!

It is my favorite award show every year and the outfits and performances never disappoint and this year was no different.

My favorite performances of the night were:

1. Rihanna & Mikky Ecko

2. Miguel & Wiz Khalifa

3. Bob Marley Tribute featuring:

Sting, Bruno Mars, Rihanna + Damian & Ziggy Marley

Some other hit performances were Kelly Clarkson, Mumford & Sons, Alicia Keys with Maroon 5, and Carrie Underwood. A big miss for me unfortunately was Frank Ocean. I think he chose the wrong song and his voice usually sends chills down your spine yet last night it did the opposite.

Now let’s talk fashion!

Prior to the big day, CBS sent out a memo about the do’s & dont’s for the Grammy Awards attire. Needless to say, no one really cared about that memo LOL

Here were my favorite looks:

Rihanna in a custom red Azzedine Alaïa dress

Jennifer Lopez in a high slit gown by Anthony Vaccarello

& accompanied by the very handsome Casper Smart

Katy Perry in Gucci

Beyonce wearing a Jumpsuit by Osman

Kelly Rowland…. it doesn’t matter who this gown was by (Georges Chakra couture) because she looked beyond perfection.

This was my favorite look of the night!

Florence Welch in Givency – while I am not big on those lump looking things, the color is amazing

Estelle in Genelle Brooks x Love Collins

I know that those last 2 outfits were on some Worst Dressed List but I love when people take a chance, especially at the Grammys. At least they didn’t show up dressed like Kaley Cuoco, while she looked cute this is the Grammys not Sunday Brunch with the girls.

Here were some of the big winners of the night:
