Last Friday I got together with a few of my girlfriends and we headed to Hurricane Club in the city. It also happened to be Restaurant Week so we took advantage of their amazing $38 dinner special. This was my first time here and I was beyond excited because I heard excellent reviews about both the food and yummy drinks.

Starters:

HC1

We started with:

A few fruity rum drinks.

-Coconut Shrimp

-Fiery Pork Dumplings

-Grilled Chicken Skewers

-PB & Guava Jam Sandwiches

All of the starters were full of flavor and delicious but the Coconut Shrimp topped them all. I’ve never seen Coconut Shrimp done up quite like at the Hurricane Club.

Entrees:

-Tiger Shrimp

-Honey Glazed Ribs

Both were AMAZING! The Tiger Shrimp had a kick of spice and the ribs were some of the best tasting one’s I’ve had in a long time.

We also decided that getting the $72 Watermelon was necessary and it was worth every penny!

HC2

Yup, a full watermelon filled with Vodka, Fresh Lime, Mint and Rhubarb..

HC3

My beautiful best friends (Left to Right) Jen, Maria, Jocelyn and me at the end 🙂

Lastly, we were served dessert.

HC4

NO words can describe how incredible this dessert was.

Chocolate Kill-Devil’s Food Cake [Bruléed Banana & Caramel Rum Sauce]

Overall, my dining experience at the Hurricane Club was a really good one. From the drinks to the food to the service – everything was fantastic. We will be back again.
