Here’s a look at what was included in this months bag:

ipsy3

This month included a cute black patent leather bag!

1. This isn’t the first time Ipsy has included a Coastal Scents Shadow Palette Sample in one of the monthly bags. I actually really love this brand – the shadows stay on well and the colors are very bold and pigmented. Interested in trying one of their palettes out? Visit their website and enter code: Ipsy25 at checkout until 3/7/13 for 25% off your total purchase.

2. Pixi, Slawless & Poreless – there isn’t much NOT to love about a product that claims they are a miracle in a tube. This product is said to smooth out fine lines & hydrate while making pores instantly disappear and best of all…. it’s oil-free! visit their site and enter IPSYPIXI at checkout for 20% off your purchase until 3/7/13. Also check out some of their other products such as the Eye Bright Kit which I have my eyes on 🙂

3. Smokey Lash Kapow Mascara by POP Beauty is said to make lashes plump, long and luscious! It’s also made with a smudge free formula that adds volume while curling your lashes up. I’m a big mascara lover and you can never have too many, so I’m happy to add this to my collection. With code IPSYPOP you can receive 20% off your purchase on the Pop Beauty website until 3/7/13.

4. This Gel Eyeliner by Micabeauty was a nice treat! I can barely get a straight line with a standard eye pencil so it will take a lot of practice to get this Gel Liner perfect but I am excited to try it. It is highly pigmented and dries quickly for a non-smudge look. This Gel Liner is available in 6 fabulous colors. Check them out here and enter code: IPSY at checkout for 30% off.

5. Lash Card – basically, it’s a disposable Mascara Guard. I’ve never heard of these but what a great invention! How annoying is it when you are putting your mascara on and you get some on your lid? You then have to get makeup remover and put it on a q-tip …. this little gadget eliminates all of that plus smudging and clumping.  With code: IPSY22 you can get 1 free with the purchase of 2.

I’m a little late with this review but better late than never 🙂

I had been saying I needed to go see Fuerza Bruta for over a year – there was talk that the final show would be at the end of December and I couldn’t let it leave NYC without catching it. My  boyfriend surprised me with tickets for the December 1st showing and I was ecstatic. The show ended up being more than I could of ever imagined and the ART behind it is incredible. For 50 minutes you are moving around (literally… when the scenes move, you move lol) and dancing and you feel like you are a part of the show. The actors have so much interaction with the crowd from dancing with you to  hitting people over the head with glitter boxes to swimming above your head. The DJ keeps the crowd moving the whole time and by the very end you will feel like you are at a large rave where everyone is just having a blast! They even have a huge rainfall where people can dance under until the music stops. – very fast pace and unique!

Fuerza Bruta has now been extended until May. If your in the area, go check it out! Also remember to check online via google and sites such as Livingsocial for discounted tickets!

Here are some pictures from the show:

Personal Photographs By S.M

Ruby Ruby is my favorite red polish and I figured if I threw in a nude accent it would really bring the color out. Unfortunately, this manicure did not come out as I had envisioned it would but I wanted to share it with you guys anyway.

Main Polish: Sinful Colors in Ruby Ruby

Accent Polish: Sephora by O.P.I in Leotard Optional

I’m going to try using the colors opposite, I think it might look excellent with Leotard Optional as the main color with an accent of red. I also want to note that I am a big fan of Sinful Colors – the polishes are very affordable at $1.99 and a majority of them have great wear. There is always a few exceptions though, for instance – their mattes aren’t the best and Ruby Ruby while it is my favorite red…. peels so easily. I am constantly having to re paint a nail or do touch ups but since I haven’t found a red to be as true of a color as this one, I stick with it.

I was recently introduced to JewelMint through my monthly PopSugar subscription when I received a free credit. JewelMint is a collaboration between Kate Bosworth and celeb stylist Cher Coulter that brings you affordable but fashionable jewelry. It is a monthly subscription website which is $29.99 a month and provides you with personalized pieces to match your style based on your style profile results. You always have the option to “skip the month” and you can shop from all collections instead of just your Showroom.

With my credit I was lucky enough to score The Essential Mystery Box! I’m not too sure how often this particular option is offered but I have heard from other subscribers that it is once a month. The Mystery Box comes with at least 4 pieces of jewelry + a bonus savings that will arrive via e-mail towards the end of the month while some boxes can contain up to 10 pieces. Unfortunately, I was not one of the lucky ones who received more than 4 pieces.

What I received:

JM4

This bracelet was a very pretty coral red color and was lightweight yet sturdy which is a plus! The design also makes this piece very versatile.

JM5

These earrings do not photograph well but they are fabulous and will go great with evening wear for a special occasion or a night out on the town.

JM6

This is not a piece I would have ultimately picked out from a website but I am super in love with it! Being able to hold it and try it on shows the dimension of it and all the details and it is  a bold statement piece.

ehhh – The box could have done without this item. It is not my style at all and I just am not a fan of denim jewelry especially when it is matched with a large bronzed heart with a cactus in the middle. This reminded me of a Western and maybe being from NJ I just don’t appreciate the design but I’m sure others will love it, which is why it will be included in one of my next Giveaways.

Overall, I am very happy with the JewelMint Mystery Box. I do wish it included a ring since that is the type of jewelry I wear most. Even though I did not have to pay for this one since I had the credit, it is worth the $29.99 and I definitely will be interested in the next one they offer. I basically got 3 pieces that I can put to use and they normally would go for $29.99 each on JewelMint. I do have to say that the pieces on the website are fabulous and a lot of them are unique but I don’t see myself paying $29.99 for just 1.
