Monday – Thursday I’m in black slacks for work…

so when (Casual) Friday comes along, I love to dress down and be comfortable!

I haven’t done a mani post in a few weeks and while I had some good ones; I wanted to share my latest one you first. I’m not sure if it was because I was away from home for too long and never made it to the nail salon while in Europe but on the flight back home I ended up biting my nails… I know, I’m ashamed. I haven’t bit my nails in years! Anyway – when I got home I had to try to make the best of the situation. When you don’t have much to work with, you have to just make the best of it and that basically means no bright colors or your baby nails will stand out and look terrible.

I decided to go with Sephora by O.P.I in Metro Chic (not much chic about this manicure though)

Final Look:

Thoughts on the color?

I usually stay away from earth tones but I’m actually really digging this color.

I’m a huge Nasty Gal fan. They always have very unique and bold standout pieces.

What are your favorite looks from the collection?

Here are the products I used for this weeks manicure:

Main Polish: Sephora by O.P.I in What A Broad

Nail Art: Kiss Nail Art Paint in Black & Silver Glitter

Top Coat: Seche Vite Dry Fast

I always start with a base and then I painted two coats of What A Broad on all nails.

This was one of my first attempts at using Art Paint. I don’t have a steady hand and in the past it has just been a disaster. The finished product isn’t very clean but it is a lot better than what I have done. I guess practice does make perfect 🙂 I then created some line art with black and silver glitter art paint. I sealed the look with my favorite fast top coat – Seche Vite.

I purchased some funky colors in the Kiss Nail Art Paint and can’t wait to try out some new designs.

Last week I attended a beautiful wedding for my boyfriends co-worker. The last few months at work have been beyond busy that I totally forgot to pick something up to wear. You would think my closet wasn’t filled with beautiful dresses appropriate for the occasion… it is, but it’s a female thing. I needed something new and preferably with long sleeves since I’ve been self conscious about not hitting up the gym as frequently as I should have been. In typical last-minute fashion, I browsed through all of my favorite online boutiques and shops on a Monday for a Friday wedding! After hours of comparing different sites and dresses I finally found the one on ASOS.

I’ve admired many things on ASOS in the past but I always skipped on purchasing because I know they are located in the UK and I thought it would just take TOO long to get to NJ. I decided to purchase this dress and even though I was offered free shipping, I paid $12 for an express 2 day shipment. BEST DECISION EVER! My dress arrived on Thursday and fit amazing.
