My son has this bigger than life personality, so when it comes to dressing him and baby fashion in general – I love incorporating pieces that show just that. We are big Cat & Jack fans! Their graphic onesies are so cute and unique. They are also really soft so I know my little one is comfortable all day.

I love that this graphic onesie references being strong like dad. My husband works out in our home very often and to see my son trying to mimic what he does is just super cute. My cousin purchased the weight rattle for Victor and he always makes sure to grab it from his toy chest before joining my husband for a little workout session.

While this is a compensated campaign in collaboration with Munchkin and Latina Bloggers Connect, all opinions expressed are my own.

As a first time mom, it took me some time to find a balance between mom life and me time. This was especially true when it came time to feeding my son. Prior to his birth I already knew I wanted to breastfeed and hoped to do so for at least the first 3 months. Breastfeeding was this totally new concept for me and I was a little overwhelmed when I started to think about running errands between nursing him.

After a few weeks of us being settled at home, I decided I wanted to exclusively pump. I knew this would be more time consuming but it was important to me that I continue providing breast milk for my son. I was little nervous about bottle feeding as I have heard many babies have nipple confusion and will refuse to bottle feed or even start refusing the breast. This is when I was introduced to Munchkin’s LATCH line. Designed to ease the transition from breast to bottle—and back again, the LATCH bottle features a patented nipple that enables the baby’s palate to stretch back and forth, and attain a proper latch. When breastfeeding, baby controls the flow of milk by applying pressure to the base of mom’s nipple. The LATCH bottle mimics mom by releasing more breast milk as baby pushes against the nipple’s base.

In addition to the bottle, the LATCH line also includes nursing pads (5X thinner and 3X more absorbent than the average nursing pad), a LATCH bottle brush, sterilizer bags (Which I love! Just toss one in your bag for easy on-the-go bottle cleanings) and a pump brush (the only brush on the market designed for a breast pump).

The LATCH line really gives me freedom to not only get things done around my home but also to take some time out for myself, which is so important when you are a parent. I love that I have peace of mind that my husband and family can also help during my son’s feedings. Motherhood is stressful and sometimes you just a need time out to go outside and read a book or relax. I do yoga to destress as well and the LATCH miracle nursing pads keep me dry during class but are super discreet since they are so thin.

Plaid + Fringe are two fashion trends that have been in for quite some time now. If you follow my instagram (@pearls_and_paris) you have seen this fringe bag multiple times. It’s my go to bag! It’s super chic and can be worn casually or for a night out which I love.

While #allblackeverything is my fashion motto, I see myself leaning even more towards it since having my son 3 months ago. Black obviously is very slimming but it also creates a very clean silhouette when wearing a statement piece such as this sleeveless long red plaid duster. I pulled the look together with these gorgeous over the knee boots which has the perfect heel height when on the go.

This definitely was one of the most anticipated collections….

Phillip Lim for Target!

pl

The official launch was today, September 15th. Stores opened at 8am and Target left everyone up in the air about the actual time the collection would be released online. I followed #PhillipLimforTarget on Twitter starting at 11pm and it was the best decision ever! Pieces slowly started to become live even though the website home page was not showing it but these people provided links so you could instantly access the merchandise. I was able to add a few things to my cart and leave them there until the purses, which was the 1 item I absolutely needed were available. The taupe Mini Satchel was the first purse released and I instantly added it to a few other items I had stored in my cart and checked out. Since Target offers free shipping with a $50 purchase I figured just to check out and go back and place another order if and when the other items I wanted were released. At 4am the full collection was LIVE! Some people literally stared at their screens and refreshed their computers for hours but luckily… I was able to get some sleep and set alarms to get up and check every so often. It paid off since I was able to purchase everything on my wish list.

Here is what I got:

Another Target collaboration debuted yesterday. This time they have linked up with Prabal Gurung who Launched his 1st collection during NYFW in 2009. I’m sad to say that the collection is completely sold out online but some stores do have scattered pieces so it’s worth it to try your local Target.
